This Philadelphia-based
vocal quintet of the 70's line up was: Theodore 'Ted' Mills, Vernon Sawyer,
Wendell Sawyer, Keith Beaton and Richard Pratt. Produced by Norman Harris,
a Philly sweet soul veteran, the group's textured harmonies were ably
supported by the classic MFSB house band, resulting in some of the genre's
finest moments. Their later US hits have included Magic and, owing to
renewed popularity in the late 80's, It's like magic and Romeo and Juliet.
