High Fashion was instigated by producer Jacques Fred Petrus and consisted of Erick McClinton, Alyson Williams and Meli'sa Morgan who had already left the band for the second (and last album) and was replaced by Marcella Allen. They originated in New York. Meli'sa co-wrote many of the songs, while their 1982 Capitol debut album Feelin' Lucky was co-produced by Mike Theodore, Dennis Coffey and Kashif. The album included Feelin' lucky lately and three more songs by Kashif. Make up your mind was released in 1983. They disbanded afterwards.
