Rafael Cameron was born 1951 in Georgetown, Guyana where he sang in local bands while growing up. It wasn’t until the early 70’s when he decided to move to America to further develop his musical education. It was during this time, while performing in New York, where he met Randy Muller. The two started recording a few years later. His career really took of with the release of his second album Cameron’s in love which included Funtown USA. Influences of the Brass Construction can be heard on Let’s get it off from his Cameron all the way album in 1982. In 1983 Rafael was without a recording contract and so disappeared into the private life. Last musical outings date from the mid 90’s when he started recording gospel music.
