Skwares is a six-member group from Memphis, Ohio which consisted of vocalist Johnny Adkins, Willie Bonds, Michael Anderson, Bryan Jones, William
Polk and Tony Smith and was formed in 1983. They recorded only the two albums known to date for Cotillion and Mercury. In the short spannned
live of the band the intention was to update the Barkays ' funk sound.
